Legal
Terms of Use
The terms on which the Constroo website, applications, and marketplace services may be used.
Last updated: 12 October 2026
Draft — pending legal review
Status of this document
This is a draft. It is not legally approved and is not in force.
Several sections below deliberately contain unresolved items, marked TO BE CONFIRMED — LEGAL REVIEW. Those placeholders must be completed and the document approved before it is published as binding. Where a commercial decision has not been made, this draft says so rather than inventing a commitment.
Purpose and scope
These terms govern your use of the Constroo website and the Constroo applications for iOS and Android, together with any related services (together, the Services).
By creating an account or using the Services you agree to these terms, our Privacy Policy , and our Data Deletion information. If you do not agree, do not use the Services.
These terms apply to the marketplace platform itself. They do not govern the internal operations tools used by Constroo’s staff.
Eligibility and account responsibility
The Services are intended for adults acting in a professional capacity. [TO BE CONFIRMED — LEGAL REVIEW: minimum age to be fixed. See the Child Safety page.]
You are responsible for:
- providing accurate information when you sign in and when you complete your profile;
- keeping access to your device secure, and telling us promptly if you believe your account has been accessed by someone else;
- all activity that takes place through your account, whether by you or by someone you have given access to;
- being legally able to enter into the arrangements you make through the Services.
Constroo may verify a business’s GST registration where a GST number is provided. This is a business-registry check and is not an identity verification of any individual.
Listings and service requests
Partners may list machinery and labour offerings. A labour offering describes a trade, available headcount, and a rate. Customers book the offering; they do not select and engage individual workers through the marketplace.
A booking request made through the Services is a request to a partner. It does not by itself create a contract, and it does not guarantee that a partner will accept it, that any resource will be available on the requested date, or that the work will be completed to any particular standard.
The contractual relationship for the actual work — including scope, price, timings, and obligations — is between the customer and the partner. Constroo is not a party to that arrangement.
Bookings and payment handling
Payment for a booking is processed through a third-party payment provider. Card details are entered on the provider’s own secure page and are not received or stored by Constroo. Constroo stores the transaction reference, amount, and status.
The amount charged is calculated on the server from the booking itself.

User and partner responsibilities
Customers are responsible for:
- giving accurate site addresses, contact details, and requirements;
- ensuring the site is safe and that anyone working on it is appropriately trained and equipped;
- meeting their own obligations with the partner for the work.
Partners are responsible for:
- the accuracy of what they list, including equipment condition and the trades and headcount they make available;
- the competence, safety, and lawful engagement of any labour they supply;
- maintaining records of work performed, including daily attendance where labour is engaged;
- complying with applicable law relating to their business, equipment, workers, and site conduct.
Constroo does not currently verify the identity, background, qualifications, or insurance of individual workers, and makes no representation about them.
Accuracy of listings
Partners are solely responsible for the accuracy of their listings.Constroo does not independently verify equipment condition, worker qualifications, or rates, except for a business GST registration check where a GST number is supplied.
We may remove or suspend a listing that is inaccurate, misleading, unlawful, or that infringes another person’s rights.
Cancellations, refunds, and disputes
Not currently implemented
Until a refund policy is published and operational, any commercial matter between a customer and a partner must be resolved directly between them. Constroo may assist by providing relevant records.
[TO BE CONFIRMED — LEGAL REVIEW: governing cancellation terms, refund entitlement, dispute process, and any limitation of liability.]
Acceptable use
You must not use the Services to:
- break any applicable law or regulation;
- infringe another person’s intellectual property, privacy, or other rights;
- post content that is false, misleading, defamatory, or that advertises something unlawful;
- attempt to access another person’s account, or probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of the Services;
- interfere with the operation of the Services, including by automated or excessive requests;
- scrape, harvest, or extract data from the Services in bulk, except as expressly permitted;
- engage in harassment, or in conduct that endangers the safety of anyone on a construction site;

You retain ownership of the content you upload, such as equipment photographs, and grant Constroo a licence to host and display it for the purpose of operating the Services.
The Constroo name and mark are our property. Nothing here grants a right to use them.
[TO BE CONFIRMED — LEGAL REVIEW: ownership of data and content, licence scope, and any third-party material terms.]
Service availability and limitations
The Services are provided on an as-available basis. We may suspend or restrict access for maintenance, security, or legal reasons.
You acknowledge that:
- the Services are currently in development and are launching soon in Pune / PCMC. They are not yet open for live bookings;
- we do not verify the availability of any listed resource, and a listing being visible does not mean it is available on any particular date;
- Constroo does not guarantee that a booking will be accepted, that any resource will be present, or that work will be completed to any standard or timescale;
- access to the location service used for place search may be limited and free-text entry may be used instead.
[TO BE CONFIRMED — LEGAL REVIEW: disclaimers of warranty, limitation of liability, and any service availability commitment.]
Suspension and termination
You may stop using the Services and close your account at any time by requesting closure — see the Data Deletion page.
We may suspend or terminate access where we reasonably believe there has been a breach of these terms, unlawful activity, a safety concern, or a misrepresentation by a partner.
Where a suspension follows a safety report, records may be preserved for the purpose of investigation.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the Services develop. The version published on this page is the version that applies. Where a change is material, we will give notice through the Services or by email before it takes effect.
The Applications currently present a link to our Terms and Privacy Policy at sign-in. Where that text appears in an application but conflicts with the published version, the published version on this website applies.
