Child Safety
Constroo is a construction services marketplace for adults. This page sets out our standards of conduct, our position on safeguarding, and how to raise a concern.
Last updated: 12 October 2026
Constroo connects construction customers with equipment suppliers, skilled workers, and service businesses. It is a commercial platform used by adults. Most people who use it work on sites — often outdoors, in groups, and with people they may not previously have met. That context is exactly why we set out clear expectations here.
Intended audience and age eligibility
Constroo is intended for adults acting in a professional capacity: customers, contractors, site engineers, project managers, procurement staff, equipment suppliers, and service businesses.
The services offered through Constroo — renting heavy machinery, engaging construction labour, entering into commercial site work — are not appropriate for children, and Constroo must not be used by or on behalf of anyone under the age of majority in India.

Expected conduct
Everyone using Constroo is expected to behave in a way that respects the people they deal with. In practice that means:
- treating customers, workers, site staff, and partner employees with dignity and respect;
- communicating honestly, and not misrepresenting who you are, what organisation you represent, or what capacity you are acting in;
- respecting site safety rules and the authority of site supervisors;
- not using the platform to harass, intimidate, threaten, or discriminate against anyone;
- reporting unsafe or unlawful conduct rather than turning a blind eye to it.
Construction work carries genuine physical risk. Conduct that endangers a person’s safety is taken seriously irrespective of whether it also breaches a rule of the platform.
Prohibitions involving minors
There is a zero tolerance policy regarding the sexual exploitation and abuse of children. The following are strictly prohibited in all circumstances, on or through Constroo:
- child sexual abuse and child sexual exploitation, in any form;
- grooming — any conduct intended to build trust or affection with a minor in order to exploit them, including contacting a minor privately or concealing such contact;
- harassment, intimidation, or bullying of a minor;
- any sexual or exploitative conduct involving a minor, whether in person or through any digital channel;
- the recruitment, trafficking, or exploitation of a minor for any purpose, including labour;
- any other unlawful or harmful conduct involving a minor.
Conduct of this kind is a criminal matter. It is not a platform dispute, not a service complaint, and not something to be resolved privately between the parties.

How to report a concern
If you experience, witness, or become aware of any of the above, or of any conduct you believe breaches this page, report it to us.
It helps if you can include:
- what happened, in your own words;
- when it happened, and the city or area where it occurred;
- the booking reference (CN- number), email address, or mobile number associated with the account involved, if you have it;
- anything else that would help us identify the people or records concerned.
Please do not send graphic images, or unnecessary sensitive personal information about a child. A written description is enough for us to begin. If you believe a child is in immediate danger, contact the relevant emergency services first and tell us afterwards.

How a report is handled
Reports are reviewed by the Constroo team. Depending on what a report concerns, we may:
- suspend the relevant account or listing while the report is assessed;
- ask for further information from the person who reported, or from the account concerned;
- restrict a partner’s ability to accept bookings pending the outcome;
- decline a partner application or terminate a relationship where the conduct warrants it;
- preserve the relevant booking, messaging, and account records needed to investigate.
Where a report concerns conduct of a criminal nature, or where the law requires it, we will involve the appropriate authorities — see the next section.

Protection of minors' information
Constroo does not knowingly seek or process personal information from children. Where we become aware that information relating to a minor has been submitted, we will review how it is held and take steps to restrict it appropriately.
We do not ask for dates of birth, government identity documents, or identity photographs, and we do not publish individual workers’ names or numbers. Personal information about workers is recorded by their employing partner, not by us.
What we do not currently operate
We would rather state plainly what this page does not promise. Constroo does not currently operate:
- a dedicated child-safety team or a 24-hour moderation service;
- automated scanning or filtering of messages, images, or listings;
- a separate reporting system, or a formal moderation queue with published response times;
- an age-verification process, or an enforced age threshold;
- a formal law-enforcement partnership or data-sharing agreement.
Building these safeguards is part of the work ahead of launch. This page will be updated as they are established. We would rather show a shorter list than imply protections we have not put in place.
